Beyond Loot Rules and DKP System explained

DKP

DKP is given on an hourly basis with a bonus point for full attendance of a raid. DKP is awarded for bosses that are supposed to be 40 manned. On outdoor content we can sometimes conquer with a smaller raid (10-15 people minimum), DKP will still be awarded as long as someone is there to record attendance. The bonus attendance point is only available for raid instances with multiple bosses (Ahn Qiraj, Blackwing Lair, Molten Core, etc). Outdoor bosses (Kazzak, Azuregos, Emerald Dream dragons, etc) and single boss instances (Onyxia) are exempt from bonus attendance points.

Waitlist, sitting, and DKP

Beyond tries to walk the fine line of having just enough members online to raid, but also trying to ensure that anyone who wants to raid will. Unfortunately, some days we may have 35 members online when invites start, other days we may have 50 on. To combat this, we run a wait list. Members who are listed at the beginning of the raid will be given full credit for the raid in DKP/Attendance as long as they are available at all times during the raid. Members who are waitlisted after the raid has started will only gain DKP for the amount of time they actually spend in the Raid. If a late member doesn't get into the raid, then they will earn no DKP for that night. Members who are waitlisted on time will forfeit their DKP if they become unavailable during the raid. Occasionally we will have class balance issues and we may ask someone who made it into the raid to sit out for another class. This person will be awarded full DKP for sitting and is not required to stick around for the duration of the raid (though most good raiders will hang around with the chance of getting back into the raid). Officers and class leaders will be the ones who decide who is able to sit and who isn't, as we don't want people to abuse this mechanic. Officers decide whom gets pulled from the waitlist, generally it is dependant on which bosses we will be facing. If the raid is lacking DPS, then we will bring in DPS instead of more healing. If we're fighting something that enrages, we may bring in another hunter, etc. In cases where the bosses don't particularly matter, people will be chosen on a first come first serve basis, although we will skip someone who is in Arathi Basin for someone who is sitting outside the front door.

Non-DKP raids

Most non-DKP raids are 20 man instances or less. The rules for these raids are dependant on the individual running the raid and attendance is not required. Epic drops in these raids cannot be bid upon with DKP, so the leader will choose a method for dispersal (usually rolling for need). When leading a raid, please be fair with your loot policy as well as your practice of it.

Bidding

Beyond has a very lax bidding system. You are not allowed to bid on something you can't use, and alts are not allowed to outbid members. All members are allowed to go three points in the hole when bidding on an item. All DKP being bid is based off of what our website shows as current. Most DKP/raids are entered in after the raid is finished, or before the next raid starts. If you bid on multiple items, please be sure you know what your DKP is after having bid. Going beyond the three point boundary will result in a re-auction of the item with the culprit's bidding privileges revoked. Please use common sense and courtesy when bidding. We are a team of players, so please don't bid on items for PVP or farming uses when a fellow raider can put it to better use for the raid.

Bind on Pickup Epics/Legendaries

The regular bidding system is used for Bind on Pickup epics and legendaries. Some items require components in conjunction with the item being bid upon to produce a piece of equipment. Ahn'Qiraj set items for example require a boss drop in addition to a combination of scarabs and idols that are looted throughout the instance. These scarabs and idols are vaulted each run. When you win the boss drop, you will be given the scarabs and idols from the vault upon your request. Due to random numbers working the way they do, we may or may not have the items available. If they are not available you will be placed on a list and will be given priority when they do become available. This is limited to items found only inside of an instance, a Sulfuras for example requires the individual to come up with the components necessary to finish it.

Bind on Equip Epics

Bind on Equip epics generally get auctioned during the instance they drop in. If no one wins them, they will be stored in the vault. Members may request them for 1 DKP from the vault to use for their main character. If we get excess BoE epics, we will auction them either via our forums for Alt characters use or via the in-game auction house at the discretion of the vault officer. Starting price for in-guild auctions will be half of Allakhazam's average sale price. The vault officer will see that the item is equipped to prevent it from being sold on the auction house.

Bind on Equip Greens/Blues

Any greens/blues that are needed for mains are free of charge. For alts, greens and blues can be purchased for the "vendor" price, which is what the typical vendor buys it for when you try to sell it. Bind on Equip Greens determined to be trash at the end of a raid will be disenchanted and the components stored in a vault.
